I have used similar products before so installation was simple. It illuminates a small waterfall into a whiskey barrel. It is on a timer for about 7-hours per night. It has worked well for 3 nights.There were no instructions for the remote control but it didn't take much to work it out even with the poor response. Would recommend the seller.good lights but hard to keep them in placeUPDATED:A month on and have knocked off a star as these lights are not waterproof - anything is submersible, but if they're not waterproof then they're not going to last long. I give them a month or so before they corrode to death.---------------------OK, so while these lights are reasonably good there are some things that buyers should be aware of.First, the remote control is useless - for two reasons: First it's got a range of about 1 foot so don't expect to sit in your house and change the colors.But secondly and the much bigger problem, is that the IR receiver & on/off switch is NOT water proof. This means you have to put it into a waterproof enclosure which totally negates the remote control even from 1 foot range.So, the lights are good, you'll need a timer though, but beware that you have to weatherproof the switch box and toss the remote in a drawer.Suction cups are well intended but had better luck with a rock holding the light down. Remote control not easy to use. Light, however, is very effective and pretty as it cycles through colorsThey are fantastic so far! They are heavy enough to stay put- no suction cups needed!!!!!Much less money than the home improvement stores and great quality!Only wish they had an orange lense- the closest is yellow and it doesn't exactly match the soft white lights I have in the yard. The white is really more blueish due to it being LED.I like it i used it for my pond looks very good
