Wires very delicate if not in a perfit position they will not work.This is the second set that I have purchased. I leave them on my deck all summer. They are so bright. They are GREAT. People ask me about them all the time. I had to buy another set because they rusted and wouldn't hold the solar charge. But that was after 2 years of use. Some of them still worked but I just wanted another set that looked nice. I hope I will be able to get them again in 2 years (or more)This is my second purchase of the Aobik solar jar lid string lights. Bought them last time (in Dec 2018 with the jars at that time) to hang on a weeping cherry for Christmas deco. Two of the units started to dim and failed to light after a couple of weeks even when moved and placed in full sun like the others in the set. Contacted the company by email and they sent out replacements. Good service.After Christmas I used them on the perimeter of my deck for ambiance. Stayed lit for most of the season. Three failed again and the tops had some rusting on them. I still have them and am using them daily in my harvest yard deco (in sunlight as needed) although now 5 failed. They are good while they last but be aware some may fail. I like them and purchased 2 more sets in November 2019 (12 caps with hangers only) to put on boarder stakes and refill my failed ones for the tree even though they have a year warrantee. ( They are still under warrantee) They are the regular size lids which I found screw onto pasta sauce jars (Classico brand) if you do not buy the mason jar sets which come with with the lids and hangers. The jar lids do not always keep the water out. I’ve seen a bit of moisture collecting in them while on the deck in the sumner and will open them up for a day in the sun to dry out. Overall pleased with them for my usage even with the few failed ones. I have rarely found good solars that last more than a year or two without being replaced. These are no different but the company replaced those which failed right away.Photo attached shows how they were placed on my weeping cherry tree which receives bright sun in an eastern/southern exposure daily and lighting up as dusk falls. Looks very pretty from the street.Updated: 12/15/19Emailed customer service to tell them about the failed caps and string lights and the failed ones were replaced within 2-3 days. Excellent customer service!!!! Stands behind their products.These lights stay bright for hours and add a charm to my backyard.I had an older solar tiki for outside that did not work anymore. My husband suggested I get these and we popped the round solar part out of the metal jar ring and sure enough, it fit perfectly! My tiki is once again outside in our lanai.LoveLove them along our back walk & patio! We live in the country. Good value and use our ball jars with them! Also use them camping and around our pond area. Thank you!I really want to love these but they're not off to a good start. I had two different sized Mason jars with standard size mouth and while the lids are the right size, they do not screw on. I was able to pound one on but then it was very difficult to get off. I will see if I can find some other jars that they will fit but I'm not optimistic. I'll update the review if that happens.UPDATE #1: I tried the Dollar Store, like others suggested, and found some jars that the lids fit so I'm updating my review from a 1 star to a 4 star. I also put a better battery in it so they'll stay lit longer. I'll update this again later once I know how they hold up outside in the weather but so far, I'm loving them.UPDATE #2: Now that I've had them a couple of months, I still love the light they give off but as others have reported, the lids are pretty rusted. I sprayed 4 of them with a clear protectant and left 2 of the unsprayed.
