This light is very dynamic and compact. If you are a big camper or want to add a new dynamic to the outside of your home, get this light. My girlfriend doesn't have the best night vision so this helps us find things around our campsite without the harshness of other lights. This is has very warm feel to it as well kind of like using redlight in the field. Would definitely reccomend!Bought 2 of these to take camping. Also bought the extension cable, but don’t recommend it unless. You plan to use it with the power cable.Each light lasted awhile when not using the extension cable. I’d say about an hour or two. Without the extension, the lights will last a lot longer. Great for decoration your text or cooking area.UnhappyThis is a pretty neat light for ambience or mood lighting, but it doesn't have a bright white lighting, (only dim amber), option to utilize when cooking or setting up camp if you take it camping. So you need an additional light to actually see by. I'm using this in our overland jeep set-up. I fully charge it via USB cord before heading out, then use it's built in solar panel to top off the charge during the day or on the dash while traveling. The longest it gets used between solar top off charges is somewhere around 4-8 hours a night and it does well with that over 3-4 day trips without needing to fully recharge it via USB. Something nice to tell you the health of the battery is when you 1st turn it on, the lights come on green meaning fully charged, blue meaning 1/2 charged or red meaning it needs charged. Then it goes to the dim amber light, press the left button again to change it to color changing pulse, or press the right button for it to flash to your music or conversation. Something to note is it can be used while USB charging. The silicone handle/lanyard/loop for hanging is helpful. As long as you know it's for very dim or mood lighting, and understand if being fully charged from a dead state via solar panel only which will take 2 days of full sun you won't be disappointed. It would be great if they added a bright white lighting option to make this more versatile for those of us who use it for camping.Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!I've seen a similar light like this through REI, which is real nice. This is a cheaper version essentially. It's bulkier than I expected. The cord and lights seem well made. You can get an extension which is a nice plus. The blue LED stays on all the time if the solar panel is receiving light.Bought this to add lights to the inside of my Jeep when camping. I had them attached to a Rak on the Jeep today when I went to the store. I forgot to remove it, and went over a speed bump in a parking lot. I heard it make a sound and thought it had just bounced against the Rak. When I got to the store I was going to I realized that the lights had fallen from the Jeep. I quickly drove back to where they had fallen off. I was amazed that they were still there, and no one had run them over. I picked them up there was only a slight scratch in the case. The solar panel remains intact and all lights work, even though they fell approximately 4 ft from my Jeep to asphalt while moving. I'm hoping the battery life is as good as the case the lights are in!We got this set to use on the terrace of our home.It arrives in a box, needing to be charged.It took about 8 hours in the sun to get to fully charged.I can be charged faster using USB.It comes with directions that are clear and easy to understand.It seems to be made well.The unit feels rugged.It is easy to operate.The lights seem sturdy.The description says it is a waterproof unit, however it lists that the solar panel needs to be covered if there is a light rain.I would not call that waterproof.We would not buy this again.I have the original lights from a big three letter outdoor store that are much more and I actually prefer these ones more. Work great, long lasting battery and charge up quick in the sun, handy for camping and charging cell phones etc.
